ABOUT
GILLETT & JOHNSTON
CLOCKMAKERS AND RESTORERS
From 1844 when William Gillett moved his business to Croydon, through the early part of the 20th Century when Cyril Johnston joined the firm, to the present day Gillett & Johnston has been manufacturing, installing and servicing clocks for clients around the world.
Our commissions can be seen in landmark sites worldwide, including the clock in the Ottawa Parliament building in Canada as well as in quiet secluded corners in towns and villages for local people to appreciate.
While safe-guarding our heritage, we continually add to our range of clocks and services, using the latest designs and technology.
With this history of dedication to craftsmanship and precision engineering skills together with our commitment to value and service, Gillett & Johnston is the natural choice for today’s challenging commissions.
Every Gillett & Johnston timepiece is manufactured to produce a unique masterpiece by coupling traditional craftsmanship with modern practices to bring to the client a clock that will be appreciated by generations to come.
In addition to clocks, bells and carillons can be supplied for all types of installations, including clock strike and chimes, carillons, single bells, stationary and autoswung bells.
The clocks, whether tower, church, projecting, stable, dial or floral are individually commissioned and built to precise design specifications produced by Gillett & Johnston’s design team and in co-operation with the client.
